| Heather
Downe has been a choreographer and dance
teacher in the Montreal area for over 40 years. A single Mom with two sons,
she actually came out of a 6 year retirement (2004) to do this.
She
has owned and operated four dance studios
(Hudson, Pointe Claire and two in Laval) and is looking forward to opening
the next. It will be Quebec’s first Dance Studio specializing in Erotic
Dance, Sensual Yoga and Pole Dancing.
As
a choreographer she has worked with world champion skaters, ballroom dancers,
classical ballet and modern dancers, as well as fashion and trade shows.
She
has trained many award-winning dancers,
some of whom went on to have very successful careers in television; some
became teachers and others went on stage. She has appeared on television
shows going as far back as CFCF’s Night Life with Perry King, doing a Jazz
Ballet routine, to the most recent interview with Brian Britt (CTV News)
showing an erotic floor routine. Heathers’ classes always make you feel
sexy, sensual and completely satisfied……… that you had a good workout!

Cynthia
Hagen is a single mom living in Timmins
Ontario. She has a challenging job and busy work schedule but jumped at
the chance to teach dance. She is an independent, vivacious woman with
a positive attitude and contagious smile, who says, “Self-confidence and
sexy are one in the same.”
After
learning that Heather was looking for
a teacher to train and certify in her area, Cynthia attended a workshop
given by Heather on one of her visits to Timmins. Cynthia was hooked! “Watching
Heather and seeing her style is so exciting! Cynthia was certified
as the first Northern Ontario Erotic Dance teacher.
That
was 2 years ago! Cynthia has done an excellent
job of teaching and running her EroTeknique business. She is thrilled to
be a vital part of bringing this exciting opportunity to so many women
and Heather feels very fortunate to have Cynthia as part of her teaching
staff. |

| Jamie
Cromar began dancing at a young age with
the British School of Dance in Cologne Germany. Her family's move to Quebec
two years later marked the onset of her 11 years of jazz/ballet training
with the Hudson Dance Center under the instruction of Heather Downe. Over
the years she performed numerous solos and competed in Dance Competitions.
Jamie
also danced with the Montreal based L'Academie
de Danse Classique and performed in three of their gala productions.
She then integrated Modern Dance into her training but because of recurring
knee problems, it became increasingly obvious that her love of dance might
never become a career.
Jamie
joined our staff and is known for her fluid pole work, great style and
body lines. She appears on many of the video clips on this site and appeared
on Les Missions de Patrice October 5th, as a pole dancer! Kim Douglas did
the interview and Jamie did the pole dancing. Even Rene Simard took
a twirl! |

| Tressa
Wilson is one of Dance EroTeknique’s original
teachers. She started teaching in her native Ottawa in 2005, around the
same time as Heather was struggling to get classes going in Montreal. Erotic
Dance was so new, so unique that the Ottawa ladies needed a little more
time. Tressa took some time off to pursue other interests but now it’s
time to re-introduce the EroTeknique style to Canada’s capital. She hopes
to get classes started in September 2006.
In
the past two years, Tressa has continued
working in the entertainment and fashion world but dance remains a long
standing passion of Tressa’s.
Tressa
started dancing at the age of three with
extensive training in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern and musical
theatre. She has won numerous dance awards and has performed in commercials,
music videos and in plenty of local events plus she is a much sought after
photographer’s model.
Tressa
is really excited to be teaching again
and we are happy she’s back! |

| Debbie
Monahan is a native of Montreal, Qc and
has been around dancing most of her life. She admits to belonging to a
long line of ballroom dancers.
Her
dance background includes Classical Ballet
for fifteen years, jazz ballet training and she did a few years as an assistant
teacher. Debbie read the Gazette article of October 27, 2005 about Dance
EroTeknique and has been training with Heather ever since.
It
wasn't too long before Heather and other
teachers noticed Debbie's beautiful erotic style and her ability to catch
on quickly. With Debbie's stressful job, she finds the erotic dance and
pole dancing, not only fun but a form of freedom. She looks forward to
teaching this new Fall 2007 session.

| Teresa
Estrada and her mom, Anna both started
classes with Dance Eroteknique over 3 years ago and almost from the beginning
Teresa was invited to be part of the “Troupe” class. She is multi-talented!
Not
only is she blessed with a dancer’s body
and long legs, she has trained in all forms of dance including years of
classical ballet. Others include Arabic, Indian, Step dancing, Tap and
of course Erotic dance and Pole.
She
has performed in all our shows and DVD’s
plus has an impressive list of acting experience with many shows in the
Montreal area to her credit.
She
is also a model, has won several singing
awards since she was a child and is presently lead vocalist for a Rock
band. We are delighted that Teresa has joined our staff. |

| Aisha
Hunte contacted Heather about teaching
pole classes in the Fall of 2007. She is a self-taught pole enthusiast,
perfectly bilingual and has been part of the Eroteknique staff for the
past 3 sessions. Aisha graduated from the University of Ottawa and has
been working in the Montreal area as a nurse for the past 5 years.
Most
of her dance training is in Afro-Caribbean
dance and Jazz Ballet. She has been with the West-Can Folk Performing Company
for over 14 years and has performed at theatres including the Oscar Peterson
Rialto Theatre, various festivals, folk shows and weddings all over eastern
Canada.
Aisha
believes that pole dancing is a beautiful
way of expressing one’s self and under Heather’s dance instruction, she
has learned to perfect her dance technique as well as add more grace and
fluidity to her movements. Aisha is a good teacher and both staff and students
love her.
